U.S. advanced and novel accelerator beam test facilities

Abstract Demonstrating the viability of Advanced Accelerator Concepts (AAC) relies on experimental validation. Over last three decades, U.S. has maintained a portfolio advanced and novel accelerator test facilities to support research critical AAC. The have enabled pioneering developments in wide variety beam physics, including plasma-wakefield structure-wakefield acceleration. This paper provides an overview current possessing charged particle drive beams with high energies, order tens joules per pulse, or lasers peak powers, petawatt, are actively conducting AAC research.
